We founded Gryphon Financial Partners around one theme — Client First. Everything we created and do on a daily basis is built around one fundamental belief: Success comes from doing the right things, in the right way, for our clients…every time.

Today, we hear a lot about fiduciary or fiduciary management. It means that we have a fundamental obligation to provide suitable investment advice and always act in our clients’ best interests. In fact, we bear a legal obligation to put our clients’ interests ahead of our own and can face legal penalties if we do not. As a registered investment advisory firm, we are held to a higher standard than the national brokerage firms.

We believe this standard is why a large number of advisors, and thus clients, are moving from the national brokerage firms to the independent space. According to Cerulli Associates, in 2007, the large national firms controlled about 53% of all assets belonging to high net worth clients ($5 million+). This fell to about 41% in 2013.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that all RIAs are all good. Our vision is to be the premier independent firm in the Midwest. For Gryphon Financial Partners to thrive how we envision, these are our Keys to Success:

We set out to establish an independent wealth management firm that was different and, in our minds, better. We wanted a firm where we could provide our clients with advice that is always customized and objective and remains free of conflicts of interest to assist them in achieving their life goals.
